Matic Pipes uses the following timbers when constructing uilleann pipes:

1. African Blackwood
2. Mopane

Mounts and ferrules are made from brass and alternative ivory.
The bellows are made from unstained red-oak.
The bag and bellow-sides are made from cowhide.

Danish Oil is used after a component has been sanded. There is no component in Matics Pipes that is painted for aesthetics. All timbers retain their natural color.
