LEAD
TIME INFORMATION
The
general lead-time for initial orders is 1 year from receipt of
a 1/3rd non-refundable deposit.
A
lengthy lead time is in place in order to add what woodcrafters
call "seasoning" to the timbers. Another question
we ask is, "how green is the wood?" Seasoning
is nothing more then time.
As
time goes by, the water molecules inside the timbers dissipate;
the timbers then shift to accomodate the loss. Timbers will
shift throughout time, but the question of "if it shifts
so much as to alter an instrument's tuning," which
is the key.
The
illustration to the right shows a stock made of Ebony timber
that shifted two months after it was made. At the time of
it's creation, there were no gaps between the brass ferrule
and the drone switch was functioning. Because of improper
seasoning and rushing it's creation, there is a gap between
the brass ferrule and the drone switch no longer functions.

TO
PLACE AN ORDER
To
be placed on the work-order list, a 1/10th non-refundable desposit
of the item you are purchasing is required or full payment of
the item you are purchasing. Once the deposit or full payment
is received, a receipt and work-order-end date will be provided.
Upon work completion, full payment is required for the finished
pipes to ship to the customer.
If
you send a full payment, 2/3rds of your payment is refundable
should you wish to reconsider your order.
